PORT AVENTURA - SALOU (TARRAGONA)
PORT AVENTURA theme park in Salou, on the Costa Dorada,
is about one hour's drive south of Barcelona and benefits
from excellent communications by air, rail and road.
The park is part of the Universal Mediterranea Resort
which also includes the Costa Caribe Aquapark and two themed
hotels: Port Aventura and El Paso.
The park's theme is a journey of adventure through exotic
lands round the world. Starting in the Spanish region of
CATALUÑA, themed as a typical Mediterranean port, the visitor
is then transported through the fascinating folklore of
POLYNESIA to CHINA and its Great Wall, MEXICO with its
ancient culture and the Spanish colonial remains and, finally,
to the rugged scenery and cowboy's homes of the WILD WEST.
Every land features major themed rides as well as restaurants,
bars, shops, attractions and live entertainment typical
of each country and culture.
